C-09: Teaching Sleep and Rhythms: Modern Pedagogical Practices
This course is intended to address the specifics of developing a successful educational course on sleep and rhythms, with a focus on modern and innovative pedagogical practices.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Develop a tone-setting syllabus with attainable course goals, a manageable reading list, clearly defined expectations, and appropriate resources;
- Attendees will have the tools to increase equity and inclusion in their classrooms;
- Design classroom activities that facilitate active, engaged learning that empower students to master the course material and meet their learning objectives; and
- Understand the ethical and logistical considerations for conducting research in classroom settings.
